The Lomo'Instant Wide Glass from Lomography is a creative instant camera that was specially developed for lovers of analog photography and is characterized by numerous functions and setting options.

This edition was introduced in October 2024. Around 9 years after the introduction of the first Lomo'Instant Wide. This model now comes with a multi-coated glass lens.

Functions of the camera

Like many other instant camera cameras, the Lomo'Instant Wide also has an automatic mode. In this mode, users only have to press the shutter button, after which the camera sets all exposure settings independently and ejects the image in a matter of seconds.

In automatic mode, the camera selects an exposure time value between 1/250 second and 8 seconds. The aperture is f/8 and f/22. The f/22 can be selected in a manual mode. The exposure time can be fixed at 1/30 second.

With the exposure compensation (+-1 aperture), users can influence the automatic exposure, or they can opt for the bulb mode. This allows the shutter to be kept open as long as the shutter button is pressed and is ideal for long exposures.

Another highlight of the Lomo'Instant Wide is the multiple exposure function, which allows several shots to be combined in one image - perfect for creative and experimental photography.

The Lomo'Instant Wide also leaves nothing to be desired when it comes to flash. The camera has an integrated flash that can be lit in different tones as desired using the color filters supplied.

If you prefer to work without a flash or prefer external light sources, you can switch off the internal flash and connect an external flash or radio trigger if necessary. This option is particularly useful for studio shots and offers photographers greater creative freedom.

The camera is also equipped with a four-stage manual focus system. The shortest focusing distance is 0.3 meters, so close-ups and portraits can be taken precisely. Another practical detail is the small mirror on the front of the camera, which makes self-portraits much easier.

For additional convenience, the Lomo'Instant Wide has eyelets for a camera strap, a tripod thread for stable shots and a radio trigger that is integrated into the lens cap - perfect for group photos and self-portraits from a distance.

In addition to the Lomo'Instant Wide itself, the camera comes with colorful color filters for the flash, a lens cap with integrated remote trigger, splitters, practical tips for taking photos with instant photos and easy-to-understand instructions.

Batteries and films for the Lomo'Instant Wide Glass

The camera requires four AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) and the appropriate films to operate. For colorful shots, the currently available Instax Wide color film (current_instax_wide_farbe) is the first choice. Black and white photos are possible with the Instax Wide Monochrome*.
