The La Sardina Coachella is an edition from 2013. It was created in collaboration with Coachella. The camera could be purchased at the festival in the USA for around 200 US dollars.
Design
The camera is a limited special edition of the Lomography La Sardina, inspired by the desert ambience of the Coachella music festival. The metal housing is made of oxidized bronze and is decorated with artistic engravings showing palm trees, amplifier cables, guitar necks and other motifs that reflect the atmosphere and iconography of the festival.
The inscription "Coachella" is prominently located below the engravings. The camera is also equipped with an external flash.
Functions
Equipped with a built-in 22mm wide-angle lens and an aperture of f/8, the camera enables unique perspectives and artistic effects. The manual focus from 60cm and the fixed shutter speed offer room for experimentation and creative freedom.
Another highlight of the La Sardina Coachella is the included flash. You can use the flash flexibly and personalize your photos using the hot shoe or the Fritz the Blitz connection.
Films
The camera works completely mechanically and does not require batteries. Simply insert a 35mm film and get started. For color photos, films such as the Kodak Gold 200 or the Lomography Color Negative 400 are recommended. For black and white photos, the Kodak T-Max 100 or the Ilford HP5 Plus 400 are suitable.
