The Kodak Prostar 333 is a snapshot camera. It was manufactured by Kodak and presented in the 90s. The model was aimed more at beginners and hobby photographers with not too high demands. The camera with black plastic housing was built in Thailand.
The 35mm camera comes with a fixed focal length lens. There is no need to focus. The focus of the lens is fixed. The aperture and shutter speed cannot be changed either.
The Kodak Prostar 333 comes with a built-in flash. The automatic flash can also be turned off. The camera requires two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). This type of battery can be found very easily even today. Of course, you can also go for rechargeable ones.
Films for the Kodak Prostar 333
Nothing works with the Kodak Prostar 333 without 35mm films. Films of this format are still easily obtained today and are also still developed. There is no setting option for the sensitivity of the film. For color images there is for example the Kodak Portra 400*. An option for black and white images is the Kodak T-Max 100*.
Color film is processed using the C-41 process. This development process is performed by all photo labs that offer development of 35mm film. The black and white film must be processed in a black and white developer. Afterwards, the film can be scanned or prints can be made.
Other films are also available from other manufacturers. For example, films from Ilford, Fujifilm or even Foma also fit into the camera. Good films are also available from Lomography, Rollei and Adox.
The negatives of the 35mm photo camera have a size of 24 mm x 36 mm. So about 36 pictures fit on one roll. The film is automatically rewound by the photo camera in this model.
