The Kodak FunSaver is a disposable camera from the US photo pioneer Kodak.
The camera comes with a color film from Kodak. This is, depending on the model, designed for at least 27 pictures. It has a sensitivity of ISO 800 and is suitable for everyday photography.
The camera does not have any adjustment options. Look through the viewfinder and press the shutter button is the motto. The disposable camera does not have a zoom function. It is equipped with a rather wide-angle lens, so it can be used for different subjects.
There is a built-in flash for taking pictures in less light, e.g. indoors. This should be used, as ISO 800 is not exactly a lot. So it is better to use the flash once more than less, even if you still feel that it is actually bright enough. The battery for the flash is integrated directly in the camera.
The disposable camera does not have a built-in autofocus. The focus is fixed and therefore cannot be changed. In order for the subject to be in focus, you should keep the minimum distance to it.
The camera is delivered as a whole for development. The negatives with the captured images are returned. Most laboratories offer development of disposable cameras.
The negatives that are returned after development can then be further processed. For example, they can be digitized with a scanner. There are special devices for this that deliver very good to mediocre results, depending on the price range. The digital files can then be put online or printed out on photo paper and used in a photo album. Many laboratories offer directly with the development of the film also the digitization or also printouts.
The Kodak FunSaver is suitable for weddings, parties, travel and the like. Of course, one should not hope for great miracles in terms of image quality. But the disposable camera is compact and light. It fits in your pocket and is thus a faithful companion for every adventure.
