The Kodak Euro-35 is a 35mm camera. It is a simple snapshot camera. It was built by order of Eastman Kodak in Hong Kong. The model can be dated to the end of the 1980s. It was offered in different color variations. The Kodak Euro-35 was also marketed under the name "Kodak Breeze" and "Kodak S100 EF".

The lens of the 35mm camera cannot be interchanged. The focal length is fixed and is 35mm. The largest aperture is f/4.5 and the focus of the lens cannot be changed.

The camera has only a few adjustment options. The really crucial adjustment option concerns the sensitivity of the film. You can choose between ISO 100/200 and ISO 400 with a slider. Depending on the setting, the camera's aperture also changes. The shutter speed remains the same in both cases.

The camera has a built-in flash. Only when the flash is on can the widest possible aperture be used. The power source of the Kodak Euro-35 and the flash are each two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). The batteries are only used for the flash. The rest of the camera's functions can be used without power.

Films for the Kodak Euro-35

The Kodak Euro-35 exposes 35mm film. There is still a good selection of material for color and black and white images for this film format. Nice 35mm films for color or black and white images are the Kodak Portra 400* and the Kodak TRI-X 400*. Both are great films from the American photographic pioneer. Of course, other films can also be used with the camera.

The negatives of the 35mm camera have a size of 24mm x 36mm. With this exposure range, at least 36 photos usually fit on one film (135-36). For the next picture, the film is wound manually with a thumbwheel on the back. When the end of the film roll is reached, the film is returned to the cartridge. There is a pull-out crank on the top of the camera for this purpose. The cartridge can then be removed and the film material developed.
