The Kodak EasyLoad 35 KE115 Zoom is a 35 mm camera. It was built by Kodak in China in the early 00s. It is quite easy to use and therefore aimed at beginners and occasional users. The housing of the camera is made of plastic and is available in black and grey. In addition to the normal version a version with data back was sold. This version has a built-in quartz clock and can expose the capture time into the image until the year 2099.

The camera comes with a zoom lens. The zoom range goes from 38 mm to 115 mm. The largest available aperture is f/3.9 (38 mm) / f/11.2 (115 mm). The lens is focused by an autofocus system. The closest focusing distance of this lens is 60 cm. You should not get closer to your object than this for crisp photos.

The camera is equipped with a built-in light meter. It is designed for an ISO range from 100 to 800. The film speed is read out via the DX code on the film cartridge. The aperture and exposure time are set automatically and cannot be changed. There is a special mode for portraits, which directly sets a suitable focal length.

The built-in Kodak Sensalite flash provides sufficient light. Power ranges goes to up to 6.4 meters at ISO 100 and 38 mm. The charging time is about six seconds and the status of the flash is indicated by an LED on the back. In addition to the automatic flash, there is a fill-flash mode, a night mode with flash and the option to turn the flash off completely. You can also switch on the prevention of red eyes.

The Kodak EasyLoad 35 KE115 Zoom measures 12.6 x 6.6 x 3.8 cm according to the manual. It weighs 246 grams. Power is supplied by a CR2 battery (eBay / Amazon*). A thread for a tripod and a self-timer are not missing. The countdown of the self-timer takes ten seconds.

Films for Kodak EasyLoad 35 KE115 Zoom

The camera comes with a system that should make loading the 35mm film into the camera even easier. After inserting the film you don't have to worry about this aspect anymore. The film is automatically rewound and the display shows the number of frames taken. At the end of the roll, the film material is also automatically rewound back into the cartridge. With the small rewind button this step can also be triggered manually.

35mm films are still produced today and can be developed in most laboratories. Beautiful 35mm films for color or black and white are the Kodak Ultramax 400* and the Kodak TRI-X 400*. Both films can be used flexibly and are therefore suitable for many situations. With the sensitivity of ISO 400 and a high exposure latitude, they can be used both indoors and outdoors.
