The Holga 120 3D is a medium format camera. The camera proves that you don't need a high-tech super camera for a lot of money to take 3D photos. It can easily be used to take stereoscopic pictures.

The Holga has two lenses for this purpose, each of which captures a slightly different image on the medium format film when the shutter is released. After developing, the two images can be viewed with an additionally available viewer or via software on the computer, and the 3D effect then appears.

From the appearance you can imagine the black plastic camera as two interconnected normal Holgas.

In terms of technical functions, it is very close to the Holga 120 CFN, except that most of the functions are duplicated. The two 60 mm lenses are made of plastic and have a maximum aperture of f8. They are focused manually with the Holga-typical 4-step system.

There are two options for exposure time, Bulb and 1/100 s.

Normal medium format film is loaded into the camera. Fortunately, there is still a good selection of possible material. For taking color pictures, for example, there is the Kodak Portra 400*. A good film for black and white is the solid Ilford HP5*.

Of course, because of the two lenses, only half as many different subjects fit on the film. So twelve different subjects become only six possible images with the 120 3D.

The two flashes are supposed to provide enough light in low light conditions. They are powered by AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). Different color foils can be turned in front of the flash.

The camera also has a connection for a cable release and a tripod. The Holga 120 3D was introduced in 2010, and the stereo Holga is available as the Holga 120 PC 3D pinhole version.
