The Halina AF 700 / Halina Autofocus 700 is a compact 35mm camera. It was probably built in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The company Haking was responsible for the production. The camera with its plastic housing was manufactured in a factory in Hong Kong.

The camera lens cannot be changed. The lens has a focal length of 34 mm. The largest aperture is given as f/4.5. The camera can adjust the focus automatically with its autofocus system. A sliding door protects the lens from external influences.

The Halina AF 700 has an exposure meter for measuring the exposure. The sensitivity is read from the coding on the film cartridge. Films with a sensitivity of ISO 100/200 and ISO 400 are recognized. The camera electronics set the exposure values based on this. There are no manual setting options with this camera model.

The 35 mm camera has a built-in flash. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a self-timer.

The camera requires two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*). Here you can of course use rechargeable batteries. The film transport works automatically with a motor.

Films for the Halina AF 700

The Halina AF 700 is designed for 35mm film. There is an impressive variety of films in this format, both in color and black and white.

The Ilford Delta 100* is one of the most renowned films for black and white photography. For color shots, the Kodak Ultramax 400* might be a good choice. Both films deliver solid results with the camera.

Color negative film is developed using the C-41 process, which is used by many photo labs. In Germany, some large drugstores also make it possible to develop such films. Black and white film has a variety of processing options, either professionally in a lab or at home with the right equipment.
