The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8+ Hiroshima Tōyō Carp is a limited special edition. It was introduced by Fujifilm in early 2018 and was created with the baseball team from Hiroshima.
Included in delivery is a normal Fujifilm Instax Mini 8+. Additionally, a close-up lens, a lens cap, camera strap and a cover are included. The last three things are red and printed with the Carp logo. The lens cap also features the team's mascot.
The camera uses the separately available Fujifilm Instax Mini Film, which produces small, credit card-sized photos with a distinctive white border. The Instax Mini Film* is available for colorful shots, while the Instax Mini Monochrome* is suitable for black and white images.
With a Fujinon lens with a 60mm focal length and a fixed aperture of f/12.7, the Instax Mini 8+ is ideal for portraits, group photos and spontaneous snapshots. The optical viewfinder with target marking makes it easier to compose images, while the focus range from 0.6 meters to infinitely allows for a variety of subjects.
The constant shutter speed of 1/60 second is optimal for well-lit environments and guarantees sharp images. The exposure can be adjusted manually by turning the dial on the lens to the setting suggested by the light meter. The integrated flash with automatic light regulation ensures even lighting and reduces red eyes.
The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Plus is powered by two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*), which are enough for approximately 10 films. With its compact dimensions of 116mm x 118mm x 68mm and a weight of 307 grams (excluding batteries, strap, close-up lens and film), the Instax Mini 8+ is easy to transport.
