In fall 2017, a collaboration between Fujifilm and fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac was presented. Among other things, three variants of the Instax Mini 70 were presented. You could buy them in France in the Fujifilm online shop and at the Colette boutique. The new price was around 130 euros.
The models come with a plastic housing. The front is different between the three models. There is a model each with the color combination red-yellow, blue-red and yellow-blue. There is also a matching camera strap with the same color for each model.
An exclusive JCC+ bag decorated with poetic motifs was also available. There was also an “Instax Mini 8” family pack. This package includes a red Instax Mini 8, film and magnets. The camera, which could also be bought normally and was not a special version, was delivered in a box designed by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.
Functions at a glance
The Fujifilm Instax Mini 70 Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is equipped with various features that make photography easier and improve image quality. It comes with the same features as the other Instax Mini 70 models. These include an automatic exposure control, a selfie mode with a mirror and a flash that automatically adapts to the ambient lighting conditions.
Films for the camera
The camera uses the Instax Mini format, which is valued for its handy and easily shareable images. An Instax Mini image is approximately the size of a credit card, with the actual image measuring 6.2 x 4.6 cm and surrounded by a stylish frame. The Instax Mini Film* is available for color recordings. The Instax Mini Monochrome* is ideal for black and white images.
Once the camera is triggered, the image is released and the development process begins. The photo is ready within a short time and can be presented or given as a gift immediately. This immediate and personal quality of instant photography makes it particularly attractive to those who want to capture and share special moments.
