The Diana F+ Edelweiss is a Diana clone from Lomography. The name of this Diana clone comes from the protected plant.

Edelweiss is one of the most symbolic alpine flowers and is depicted, for example, on the 5-franc piece of Switzerland. Like the plant, the camera is white. There is no Diana F+ flash included.

The Diana F+ is a medium format camera made of lightweight plastic. The original Diana was manufactured by a small company, the Great Wall Plastics Factory, in Hong Kong in the 1960s. It was mostly exported abroad and sold for a few dollars or distributed as a promotional gift. However, production of the camera was discontinued after 35mm film became more common. It wasn't until many years later that Lomography revived it and added some new features.

For example, pinhole and panorama shooting are easily possible and the lens and back, can be interchanged. The latter makes the use of instant film, through an additionally available back, possible. Of course, the old features of the Diana, such as the Bulb mode and the easy possibility to make double and multiple exposures, are also present.

Of course, a thread for a tripod is also integrated. In cooperation with the Bulb-Mode, long time exposures are easily possible. With a small plastic part, this comes with the camera, the shutter can be locked and you don't have to press the shutter release down all the time. It does not have a connection for a cable release, but this can be retrofitted with the help of an accessory.

The features of the Diana F+ Edelweiss are identical to the original Diana F+.

The Diana F+ can only be used with a Diana flash. With an adapter, it is also possible to use a hot shoe flash. There is no Diana F+ flash included with this edition.
