The Cosina CS-2 is a single lens reflex camera. The 35mm camera was built by Cosina.
The lenses of the Cosina CS-2 can be exchanged. A Pentax K bayonet was installed for this purpose. There is no autofocus with the 35mm camera. You have to focus manually on the subject.
The 35mm camera has a built-in light meter. It was designed to work with films between ISO 25 and ISO 3200. As with most SLR cameras, exposure is measured trough the lens. The shutter speed and aperture can be selected by the photographer.
The photo camera comes with a bulb mode. With the PC flash port and the hot shoe it is possible to use a flash.
Films for the Cosina CS-2
The Cosina CS-2 is an analogue camera and needs to be equipped with 35mm film. 35mm films are still produced by different manufacturers. A good choice of film is the Fujifilm Superia 400* for color photographs and the Ilford Delta 100* for black-and-white images.
The color film is processed in the C-41 process. The C-41 process is offered by almost every photo lab.
The Cosina CS-2 has a built-in self-timer. It also comes with a thread for a cable release and tripod. The dimensions of the 35mm camera are 13,65 x 8,35 x 5,1 cm. At this size her weight is 530 g. The power supply is provided by two S-76 1.5V batteries (eBay / Amazon*).
The 35mm camera can nowadays only be bought in used condition. The used price of a copy of the 35mm camera depends on condition and functionality.
