Carena SRH 760

The Carena SRH 760 is a 35mm camera. It was sold by Photo Porst in Germany. It was produced in Japan by Petri. The functionally identical model from Petri is the FT 500.

The lenses of the Carena SRH 760 are interchangeable. Lenses with an M42 thread are usable with the camera. The M42 thread used to be very common, so there are a lot of lenses for this mount. The M42 thread was invented by Carl Zeiss in Jena. M42 lenses were manufactured by Pentax, Pentacon, Meyer-Optik and Beroflex, among others.

The Carena SRH 760 does not have an autofocus system. Focusing is manual. Measuring the exposure is made easier by the built-in light meter. It is designed for films in a range from ISO 25 to ISO 1600. The SLR determines the exposure by measuring through the lens (TTL). The aperture and exposure time can be freely set by the photographer.

The camera comes with a bulb mode. The use of an external flash unit is possible via the hot shoe. A thread for a tripod is built into the bottom of the camera. There is also a connection for a cable release. The camera weighs 675 grams. The dimensions are 15.5 x 9.5 x 5 cm.
