The Adox Color Mission 200 is a color negative film. It was introduced in 2022. The material was produced several years earlier. Adox worked with another company to produce it. This company has since filed for insolvency. The company in question is probably Inoviscoat.
Adox would like to invest the proceeds from the sale of the color film in the development of its own film.
The Color Mission 200 produces color images. The film’s nominal speed is specified as ISO 200. Results with the film are said to feature delicately vibrant mint tones, peachy fresh reds and airy grain.
Developing the film
After the film is exposed, it must be developed (C-41 process). Until then, it must not come into contact with light. The film can be developed in most professional photo laboratories. This development process is standardized. The color film can be taken to DM-Markt or Rossmann for developing. After development, you can scan the film strips, for example, and then print them out.
It is also possible to develop the film in a home lab. The necessary chemistry for the development can be bought online. Compared to black and white development, C-41 is a bit more complex. For example, you have to pay more attention to the temperature.
Formats
The Color Mission 200 is only available in 35mm format. With a normal image size (24×36 mm), 36 photos fit on the color film. No other formats of this film stock are contemplated. The edition of the film is limited, because of course only a limited number of pieces was produced.
Using the Adox Color Mission 200
You can use the film in the vast majority of 35mm cameras. If the camera has a light meter, it should be usable with films with a film speed of ISO 200.
