The Lomo’Instant Automat Sundae Kids Edition is an instant camera. The camera was introduced in June 2020 and is a special edition of the Lomo’Instant Automat Glass from Lomography. The features are identical to the “original”. The edition of this model is limited.
The case is decorated with designs of the webcomic creators “Sundae Kids”. The pair became famous on the Internet and managed to build a large fan base with their stylized storyboards about feelings and situations.
Features of the camera include an automatic exposure mode, a bulb mode, multiple exposures, a built-in flash and more. It is also possible to use various lens attachments. For example, close-ups are possible with the Close-Up lens.
Included with the camera, in addition to the camera itself, are a wide-angle attachment, a close-up lens, a fisheye attachment, a lens cap with remote release, a splitter, color filters, magnetic stickers, photo clips, photo stands, sticky dots, an instruction booklet, and an exclusive Sundae Kids comic book.
Films for the camera
There are no films included with the camera. The Lomo’Instant Automat Sundae Kids Edition requires Instax Mini films. These films are produced by the Japanese company Fujifilm.
Depending on the package, you get several film cassettes. The film cassettes are individually shrink-wrapped and contain 10 pictures. The pictures have a size of 8.6 x 5.4 cm and are comparable in dimensions to a credit card. The actual picture takes up an area of 6.2 x 4.6 cm, the rest is taken up by the white frame. Depending on the edition of the film, there are also variants with colorful frames.
After ejection from the camera, the image is developed within a few minutes without any further action. For the Instax Mini format there is a color film (Instax Mini Film*), but with the Instax Mini Monochrome also a film for black and white images (Instax Mini Monochrome*).
